Focus - Developing effective whole school study habits 

Two key ingredients for any successful school are high levels of expectations and consistency. Implementing these across the school community takes careful planning and requires concerted levels of commitment.

The Focus INSET helps the school to instil study skills routines as explained to the students, creating a whole school ‘revision language’.

Participants in this programme will be assisted in making these targets stick:

• Improving students’ ability to focus on work in the classroom as well as at home.
• Understanding how the brain responds to information and recalls it.
• Using the types of study techniques and practical strategies that enhance learning.
